The art of writing a college essay

You sit in agony, staring at a prompt on the computer screen, wondering what to do. You aren't sure what you should write about, but you try to think of something clever. Ideas start piling up in your head related to abstract thoughts like perseverance, dedication, passion, the list goes on. Your palms start sweating when you realize that there is nothing in the response field. You begin to scour your life for something "essay-worthy" as you secretly wish that you had been a part of some natural disaster or freak event... The story of everyone's college essay writing process is different, but they all follow a similar line. I hope all of you seniors are working hard on college apps and not running into too much difficulty.
